Do you offer emergency, after-hours, or weekend services?
We do not have dedicated after-hours or weekend technicians. However, many of our technicians who work during the regular week are available to assist with urgent needs as they arise. Feel free to give us a call to check availability. If you reach our voicemail, please leave a detailed message about your needs, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, debit, and credit card payments. Please note that if you choose to pay with a credit card, a convenience fee of up to 2.99% will be added to the total amount.
Are you competitively priced and do you offer financing?
Yes, we are committed to providing competitively priced services with fair, transparent pricing. Even with the rising inflation over the past few years, we have managed to keep our prices affordable while still delivering top-quality service. We provide up-front pricing, so once a technician has diagnosed the issue, they will inform you of the price for the repair. You will never have to worry about hidden fees or added charges, regardless of how long the job takes. Many of our customers share their positive experiences in our Google reviews, often mentioning how great our pricing is. In fact, many customers who came to us for a second opinion on an HVAC repair ended up saving money compared to other companies and became loyal, long-term customers as a result.
Additionally, we offer financing options to make your HVAC needs more manageable. You can learn more about our financing options by selecting the Financing tab on our website. We want to ensure that everyone can enjoy the comfort of a well-maintained HVAC system without breaking the bank.
Can you service both residential and commercial needs?
Yes, Tennessee AIR is fully licensed to perform residential and light commercial service, repair, and installation.
What manufacture of HVAC units do you service and repair?
Our HVAC service technicians are trained to service and repair a wide range of residential HVAC units, including P-TAC units and mini-splits. While we do not service or repair window units, our team is certified and licensed to handle the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of most residential HVAC systems, as well as light commercial units. No matter the make or model, we are equipped to get your system running smoothly again.
Do you provide free estimates for HVAC repairs?
No, we do not provide free estimates for HVAC repairs. If you need repairs, we will conduct a service call to diagnose the issue. The service call fee is currently $100. After diagnosing the problem, our technician will provide an accurate quote for the necessary repairs, and we always ensure transparent pricing, so you will know the full cost before any work begins.
During my service call, if I decide to have your tech repair my system, will my $100 service call fee be credited toward the repair costs?
No, the $100 service call fee covers the cost of booking the appointment, as well as the technician's time and expertise in diagnosing the issue. While many companies advertise that they "credit" the service call fee toward repairs, it is important to understand that businesses cannot operate without compensation for their time. Those companies are simply factoring the fee into the overall repair cost. We believe in full transparency, so the service call fee is separate from any additional repair charges.
Will my HVAC unit be repaired the same day as my service call?
In most cases, yes, your system will be repaired the same day. Our service vehicles are stocked with commonly needed HVAC parts and materials, allowing us to handle many repairs on the spot. If the part required for your repair is not immediately available in our truck but can be picked up the same day from our supply house, we will obtain it and return to complete the repair. In some cases, a part may need to be special ordered. If that is the case, we will place the order and provide you with an estimated arrival date, then get you back on our schedule as soon as the part arrives to complete the repair.
Do you provide free estimates for HVAC installations to purchase or replace a new HVAC unit?
Yes, we provide free, no-obligation estimates for the purchase and installation of new HVAC units. Our team will assess your home or business's needs, recommend the best system for your space, and provide a detailed estimate that will be sent to your email. Please note that we do not provide estimates over the phone without seeing the project in person first. We believe in transparent pricing, so you will know exactly what to expect before any work begins.
What type of HVAC units do you sell and install?
We primarily sell and install Comfortmaker HVAC units, which are manufactured by ICP-the same company behind Carrier products, a trusted name in the HVAC industry. We chose Comfortmaker because of their high-quality performance, excellent warranties, and exceptional customer service. With Comfortmaker, our customers never have to worry about long wait times for replacement parts or service. While Comfortmaker is our go-to brand, we also offer a variety of other HVAC units at customer request, including top brands like Trane, Goodman, and more. Whatever your needs, we are here to help you find the best solution for your home or business.
Do you install, replace, or repair ductwork?
Yes, we do!
Do you provide duct cleaning services?
While duct cleaning may seem like a good idea for improving air quality, many HVAC professionals do not recommend it unless there is a specific issue like mold growth, rodent infestation, or excessive debris in the ducts. In most cases, regular maintenance, like changing filters and servicing the HVAC system, is sufficient to maintain healthy airflow. Also, improperly performed duct cleaning can damage the ducts, dislodge debris that can cause more issues, or even create gaps that can lead to air leaks. As a result, it is important to only consider duct cleaning when there is a real need, and to hire a reputable company that follows proper procedures if it is necessary.
Why should I purchase a preventative maintenance plan?
Think of your heating and cooling system as a car. Your car needs oil changes, brake pads, and tune-ups on a regular basis for it to run its best and to avoid some of the expensive repairs that can occur when you do not service it regularly. Your HVAC equipment is the same way. You want to ensure that your equipment is running at its best and this requires regular cleaning with an experienced technician inspecting the equipment to spot any potential problems. Proper care of your A/C equipment can save you money on your utility bills and prolong the life of your system. Some air conditioning and heating problems can double operating costs without providing comfort. All leading manufacturers recommend regular maintenance to maintain peak performance. In fact, most manufacturers, if not all, will void your factory warranty without proof of regular preventative maintenance being conducted on your system. A service agreement will give you peace of mind that your system is operating at optimum efficiency and performance.
How often should I conduct preventative maintenance on my HVAC system?
We recommend conducting preventative maintenance on your HVAC system twice a year-once in the spring and once in the fall. In the spring, we perform a comprehensive 30-point tune-up for your A/C equipment, ensuring it is ready for the warmer months. In the fall, we conduct a 20-point tune-up for your heating and furnace equipment to prepare it for the colder season. Regular maintenance helps keep your system running efficiently and extends its lifespan. For more detailed information about our plan, please visit the Preventative Maintenance tab on our website.
